The shareholders of Niggemann have sold 100% of their shares to Transgourmet. By acquiring the family business which has a strong focus on fresh food, Transgourmet is further strengthening its competence in freshness and product quality, as well as in B2B delivery and cash & carry. Niggemann will continue to operate independently and under its own brand and unchanged management.

Niggemann is a family business with a history spanning more than 70 years and annual sales of 87 mEUR. With its high-quality range of fresh food, Niggemann is particularly known for its fresh-poultry and meat expertise. With its 230 employees Niggemann exclusively supplies commercial food and catering customers primarily through delivery. The new C&C flagship store – opened in 2010 – with a sales area of 5,500m² serves both the cash & carry customers and as picking area for delivery and sets new standards in product presentation and customer communication.
