The shareholders of the fruit and vegetable processing company Spreewaldkonserve Golßen have sold their shares to the French Andros-Group, Biars-sur-Cère, as part of a strategic partnership. The transaction includes both company divisions and production sites in Golßen/Germany and in Szigetvár/Hungary. The shareholders of Spreewaldkonserve Golßen sell their shares to the Andros-Group as part of a strategic partnership. Andros, with annual sales of more than 2.2 billion EUR in 2019 is a leading manufacturer of jams, fruit, and dairy products. Since 1991, Andros is present in Germany through the acquisition of the fruit manufacturer Odenwald and its brand in Breuberg. Furthermore, the Elsterwerda dairy plant with the „Mark Brandenburg“ brand also belongs to the group. With the acquisition of Spreewaldkonserve, Andros further strengthens its position in Germany and in the fruit and vegetable processing market and plans to leverage synergies in regional sourcing and distribution.

Company

In Golßen (Dahme-Spreewald), preserved goods have been processed with local fruit and vegetable products since 1946. The owners of Spreewaldkonserve run the business in the third generation and have a company history of over 100 years, which began at the end of the 19th century in the Lower Rhine region. Around 32 different types of fruit and vegetables are processed annually into various specialties. The product range includes 250 items including private labels which are distributed in over 30 countries. In Eastern Germany, the „Spreewaldhof“ brand is market-leading for gherkins in jars.
