NETWORK advises WEFIS GmbH on a strategic partnership with DORC International.WEFIS GmbH, Cologne, has entered into a far-reaching strategic partnership with DORC International B.V. substantiated by the acquisition of a minority shareholding in WEFIS. NETWORK exclusively advised the shareholders and WEFIS on the transaction.

Transaction

WEFIS and DORC have a long-standing sales cooperation. The cooperation will be expanded to include joint research and development of innovative instruments for cataract surgery.

Dutch DORC International, a portfolio company, of Eurazeo, is one of the world's largest manufacturers and suppliers of ophthalmic surgical equipment and instruments.

For more than 20 years WEFIS has been developing and manufacturing innovative ophthalmological products such as phaco handpieces for cataract surgery at its sites in Cologne and Westerburg.
